Aurora. Oil on canvas, 70×90 cm, 2014
This sketchy, full-scale work is important for me first of all because of the direct, friendly contact with the model, in which the composition of the canvas is born spontaneously, in live communication. I really wanted to convey the atmosphere of the early morning, that acute feeling of causeless, light, some “childish” happiness from the very awakening, from the first rays of sun and the spring chirping of birds.
