Exhibition “Big Volga XIII. Cultural code of the peoples of the Volga region” is held within the framework of the National project “Culture”. This is the first of 7 exhibitions in the federal districts of the country, which are intermediate stages in the preparation of the Russia XIV project.
“Big Volga” is a large-scale art project that brought together the best painters, graphic artists, masters of other art forms living and working in the multinational Volga region.
Traditionally, the “Big Volga” takes place every five years throughout the country.
The exhibition presents works by artists from Yoshkar-Ola, Izhevsk, Kazan, Orenburg, Perm, Naberezhnye Chelny, Samara, Saransk, Saratov, Tolyatti, Ulyanovsk, Cheboksary, Ufa and Nizhny Novgorod.
