Exhibition “100th anniversary of the Nizhny Novgorod Art School”

Exhibition in honor of the 100th anniversary of the Nizhny Novgorod Art School opened on December 15

On December 15, Wednesday, at 16:00, an exhibition dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Nizhny Novgorod Art School, one of the oldest educational institutions of the arts in Russia, was opened at the NGHM / XX Century Art.

The exhibition presents about 150 works from the collection of the Nizhny Novgorod Art Museum, the methodological fund of the art school, private collections and collections of authors.

The main part of the exposition was made up of graduates of the school of different years, rarely participating in exhibitions, in which young artists strove to show their knowledge and skills acquired over the years of study.

The exhibition also pays attention to the modern creativity of graduates and teachers of the school.

I present at the exhibition my painting "20 YEARS LATER" oil on canvas 60x80cm 2017. In this painting I am looking for a balance between pure impressionistic delight and a psychological portrait. The girl ended up in the house where she spent her childhood. Now it is deserted and abandoned, but in the echoing halls one can still hear voices and children's laughter.
